We, at IMC, have always tried to ensure a sustainable development of the society by making its roots stronger. Our faith lies in the fact that we owe a lot to the society and need to return the debt by doing our bit. So, we have initiated and undertaken several programmes that would help eradicate poverty, promote young talent and help the youth to become self-empowered.
IMC’s Foundation aims to contribute towards the society and was founded with a motive to uplift the socio-economic status of the poor. Founder and Chairman of IMC, Dr. Ashok Bhatia believes that charity begins at home and has started a campaign, “Ek Kadam Manavata ki Aur” to support the needy across the country by providing them means to survive. He says, “Our main motive is that the help should percolate down to the poor and deserving. We have always tried to channel the aid to the remotest areas across the country which often remains neglected and suffer in silence.”
Nearly 1000 IMC volunteers gathered on November 18th in Haridwar to push PM Narendra Modi’s swachh Bharat initiative to another level. IMC took its first step by cleaning Har Ki Podi, gave a kickstart to the movement. All IMC volunteers have taken the oath to contribute their bit in keeping India clean.
The idea behind this was to propagate the Swachh Bharat campaign, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to reach out to maximum people and spread awareness amongst them
With the aim of betterment education, IMC has launched “Each One Teach One” campaign and is funding the education of underprivileged children, who cannot afford to attend schools due to financial constraints. IMC is also providing milk everyday to the children of Ekjot Viklan School, Ludhiana, for their development.
IMC thinks, it’s not about changing the lives of the people but doing something even more basic i.e. making them survive, enabling them to fight their battle of survival against Mother Nature. IMC has a strong inner drive to do something for them and they started off by donating 500 blankets at Har Ki Podi in Haridwar.
Managing Director of the company, Mr. Satyan Bhatia along with the associates took a pledge to distribute blankets in every slum of the country and this drive was started in Ludhiana where the Head Office of the company is situated. In the words of Mr. Satyan Bhatia, “We cannot change the weather but can support the downtrodden by providing them with basic necessities. This drive is a catalyst to change.”
While the Indian government is making great strides in the availability of toilets, IMC is also convincing people to use the toilets by constructing toilets in schools.IMC has started constructing Toilets in 3 government schools
IMC promote healthcare awareness and contemporary healthcare seeking behavior among the underprivileged. It is the Dream Project of IMC Founder and Chairman, Dr. Ashok Bhatia to open a IMC Charitable hospital that provides treatment for poor and uninsured people who can't purchase treatment. IMC Hospital will be built in 1500 sq. ft. area.
